Golden Cinnamon Cookies

  • Dip your fork into water each time before pressing onto the cookies to stop it sticking

Ingredients

60g butter

115g golden syrup

2 tablespoons brown sugar

2 tablespoons caster sugar

185g self raising flour

3 teaspoons ground cinnamon

​

How to make it:

Preheat oven to hot

Combine butter, golden syrup and sugars in a medium heavy based saucepan, stir over low heat until butter is melted.

Stir in flour and cinnamon and mix until thoroughly combined

Roll rounded teaspoons of the mixture into balls and place 2cm apart on lightly greased oven trays

Flatten cookies with a fork

Place cookies in the preheated oven and bake for about 10 minutes until browned

Stand cookies on trays for 5 minutes then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely

Store in an airtight container for 1-2 weeks
