All About Slices

Slices are an ever popular feature in baking.

A lot of them do not require any baking so are great to make in summer when the last thing you want is to add more heat to your already hot kitchen.

How to line a slice tin
Cut yourself a piece of baking paper that is larger on each side than your slice tin so it will overhang on the edges. Place your tin in the middle

Using a texta, mark the baking paper with a dot at each corner of the tin

Cut the corners out of your baking paper by cutting in to the dots from each side

Fold the baking paper in on each side

Sit the baking paper in your tray. Once your slice is set, the overhang of the baking paper will allow you to just lift your slice out of the tin and onto your chopping board ready to cut into pieces
