I just love making loaves, doesn’t matter what flavor – they’re all delicious!  There’s nothing quite like finding the house is quiet, you’ve actually got 5 minutes to yourself so you sit down with a well deserved cup of tea, cut yourself a slice of your latest loaf, spread it with butter and…..RELAX. Mmmm bliss!

When making a loaf, try and place it in the middle of the oven as I have found when I put mine too close to the top of the oven, the top will burn before the loaf is cooked through (even in a fan forced oven).

You can make loaves in a normal full size tin like this one, which is 900g / 2lb / 23x13x7cm :

Most recipes you can also convert to mini loaves and bake in tins like the ones in the picture below. Just remember to reduce your cooking time if you are going to do this

For a snack similar in size to a mini loaf, there is also friands that you make in a tin like this:

Whatever size loaf you make, I'm sure you will enjoy experimenting as much as I do with different sizes and flavour combinations
