Pro Tips

  • You can use any dried fruit in this recipe, I always just use whatever I have in my pantry

 

Ingredients

125g butter

½ cup brown sugar, firmly packed

2 tablespoons honey

1â…“  cups rolled oats

½ cup shredded coconut

½ cup self raising flour

½ cup dried cranberries

½ cup dried goldenberries

½ cup slivered almonds

2 tablespoons pepitas

How to make it:

Preheat oven to 180oC

Grease a 19cm x 30cm slice tin

Heat butter, sugar and honey in a medium saucepan and stir until sugar dissolves.

Put remaining ingredients into a large bowl and stir to combine then add the honey mixture and stir until completely combined

Press mixture into the prepared slice tin

Bake in preheated oven for about 20 minutes until golden

Remove from oven and leave in tin for about 5 minutes

Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before cutting into squares and storing in an airtight container

Makes 28 squares depending on how big you cut them

Mix until thoroughly combined

Press mixture into lined slice tin

Bake in a preheated oven for 20 minutes until golden then transfer to a wire rack to cool

Once cooled completely, slice into squares and store in an airtight container
